August Slipped Away…

To quote Taylor Swift, “…August slipped away like a moment of time.”

It’s officially August, and while the weather feels close to 100 degrees here on the west coast lately, my mind is thinking of the upcoming busy season. Summer is coming to a close, and the back-to-school season is about to begin! In our household, sports seems to take over beginning in August, as well!

Part of me truly enjoys getting back to a regular routine. However, bitter-sweetly, I will miss these slow moments of summer, too. Reading with my kids in the middle of the day, letting everyone snooze, or playing board games with my oldest instead of helping with the demands of homework in those late afternoons.

One exciting item on the agenda this month, is focusing some of my time perfecting and polishing up the third installment in my Tales from Mommy’s Heart collection! That’s right, I have a new book coming out!

Inspired by my oldest’s son’s love for outer space, I can’t wait to take your little young readers on a fictional, galactic journey through outer space…and as always, it’s in mommy and me style! Stay tuned for more! Book # 3, Movie Night with Mommy, will be ready for launch soon!
