Natalie Burns is a published Children’s Book Author. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from The University of Arizona. Natalie is married to her husband, they have three beautiful children.

Natalie was inspired to write her first fictional book based off of a real-life experience. With an upcoming surgery herself, Natalie searched for a book to help her own young children understand what she would be experiencing at the hospital, and at home.

A lot of the books she discovered contained medical terminology, or focused on a child’s operation, such as tonsil removal. However, she specifically wanted a book for her kids that would help them to understand what she would be going through, as the patient.

She craved a story that was simple. Age-appropriate. Light-hearted. Fun. Whimsical. After a failed search, a background in creative writing, and a passion for reading to her own children, Mommy Goes to the Hospital was born.

In her free time Natalie enjoys playing tennis, spending time at the beach with family and friends, and of course, reading to her children.
